Maricela Cisneros, Medicare Insurance Agent

About Me

Maricela's journey into the Medicare industry wasn't planned—it was personal.

When her parents turned 65, she became the family's English-speaking advocate and took on the responsibility of navigating the Medicare enrollment and Social Security process on their behalf. Experiencing firsthand how confusing and overwhelming the process could be inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others.

That experience taught her the importance of having a knowledgeable, trustworthy Medicare advisor who is patient, compassionate, and committed to guiding clients through every step of this important transition.

Today, Maricela takes great pride in helping not only her parents, family, and loved ones, but also the entire Riverside community. She is honored to collaborate with some of Riverside's finest physicians and medical teams, working together to ensure seniors receive coordinated, integrated care that supports their overall health and well-being.

Her passion extends beyond enrolling clients in Medicare plans—she believes in building lasting relationships, educating individuals and families, and serving as a trusted resource throughout their Medicare journey.

Q&A with Maricela Cisneros

What is the CMS-L564 form and when do I need it for Medicare enrollment?

Answer: Form CMS-L564 is an official Medicare form. This form is the form the employer would need to sign and fill out to show proof an employee indeed had medical coverage (creditable) medical coverage during a time that employee should have been enrolled on Medicare. This form essentially clears any potential penalties due to no enrolling on Medicare A & B when first elegible.

I've heard Medicare Advantage plans have hidden costs. How do I know what I'm really getting?

Answer: Medicare advantage plans would not necessarily have hidden coverages. But some may have out of pocket maximums and co-pays for certain services such as MRI, CT scans or Cancer treatments. It's also important to know that Prescription Drug costs or co-pays are on the Part D coverage of the plan. It's important to review plans formulary to avoid paying more out of pocket and find the best plan for your specific needs. Medicare Advantage is not a "one size fits all"

My neighbor says I'm crazy for paying for a Medigap plan when Medicare Advantage is "free." What should I tell him?

Answer: Nothing in life is FREE

tell your neighbor that "free" Medicare Advantage plans aren't actually free, explaining that they trade low monthly premiums for higher out-of-pocket copays, strict doctor networks, and prior authorization rules, whereas Medigap offers total freedom of choice and predictable medical cost. I would also add that Medicare Advantage plans or Medicare Supplement plans are not a one size fits all, this is why it's important to have a trusted Medicare Insurance agent to help and guide you in the selection process.
