What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?

Answer: I like helping people understand the Medicare enrollment process, their options, and the plans that are avaliable to them. I love to hear about their family life and understand what things are important to them when helping them decide on a Medicare plan.

What does Medicare Part B cover? Is it enough?

Answer: Medicare Part B covers outpatient care, doctor visits, durable medical equipment and outpatient mental health services as well as emergency care. It may not be enough if your are interested in dental, vision and hearing care. Part B also does not provide any prescription drug coverage.

What is Guaranteed Issue for Medicare Supplement plans, and when does it apply?

Answer: The Guaranteed Issue period for a Medicare Supplement policy begins 3 months before your 65th birthday and continues for 3 months after you turn 65. During this time you may enroll in any Medicare Supplement plan without denial for pre existing conditions.

Does Medicare cover emergency care if I'm traveling in a U.S. territory like Puerto Rico?

Answer: Yes, Original Medicare does cover emergency care in all US Territories. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan you should take into consideration whether the hospital is an in-network hospital or out of network hospital, as the costs associated with an out of network hospital may be more.
