I'm normally not one for posting reviews, but I couldn't allow my stellar experience with Joseph DeBlasio to not be shared with others. Joseph's professional and friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and clear, concise explanations of the myriad of Medicare options available made a pleasure of what I originally expected to be a stressful exercise. I found Joseph DeBlasio on the GetCoveredNJ agent/broker list because I needed help applying for Medicare insurance. He was the last one that I was going to contact for that day, and was hoping he would pick up. After the first ring, he picked up immediately with a friendly voice and was able to schedule an appointment over the call to help me find an insurance plan. After our call, I had to meet with him in person for further help with the process. When I arrived at Joseph’s office, I was greeted with a courteous welcome and taken to a room to go through the Medicaid process. He was able to answer all of my questions, regardless of how easy or difficult they were, and clearly explained parts of the process that is was curious about. Also, Joseph made me feel assured that I could be transparent about any concerns and questions I had. There was a part of the application I had messed up and had to backtrack to fix, but he was able to fix my mistake. After that, Joseph showed me what my options are and was keeping in mind what I wanted in my insurance. He showed me what was available and in my price range; showed me the difference in what I was getting between each insurance plan. Again, he was able to answer any questions and concerns I had. At the end of the meeting, I was overall at ease and was able to get an insurance plan that was affordable and had what I needed. If you are having a hard time with the GetCoveredNJ process and need help finding insurance that fits your budget and needs, then Joseph is your guy!

What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?
Answer: The ability to help my clients make informed decisions about their healthcare insurance. Too many times, I have seen someone who was not informed about their choices, that made a decision that negatively impacts their livelihood in retirement.
What is the biggest mistake seniors make when enrolling in Medicare?
Answer: Not properly understanding the enrollment periods and when you can and cannot sign up for original Medicare. This can lead to many issues, some of which include having a gap in health insurance coverage and having to pay late enrollment penalties.
