How do discount cards and resources affect my Medicare Prescription Drug plan?
Answer: It doesn't impact your Medicare Prescription drug plan directly. Your pharmacy can let you know if you can get your prescriptions at less cost to you if you use another plan, such as a discount plan.
However, you can't use both plans on the same prescription. If you choose to use another plan, those costs won't count towards your deductible, if any, or your total out of pocket costs on your Medicare prescription plan.
