Q&A with Jason Walker

Answer: Yes. Some advantage plans are not available in some ZIP codes. I can help you find the advantage plan that is right for you. Contact me.

Answer: Yes and no. You have to sign up for Part A. If you're staying on group, you need to make sure the group is credible coverage. If it is, you can delay Part B. If it is not, then you have to start taking Part B. I can help you with all of this. Contact me.

Answer: Do you have a red/white/blue card with a Medicare number and Part A and Part B effective dates? If so, then you are good. We could do a free Medicare review to help you with either a supplement or an Advantage plan. If you don't have Rx drug coverage with your Medicare, you could get a penalty. If you don't have that card, don't have a Medicare number, don't have either a Part A or Part B effective date... then yes, you would have to sign up again. I can help you either way. Contact me.

Answer: It depends if they have medigap or advantage. It also depends on what the hospital care is. I would need more info on their plan to get you a more accurate answer.

Answer: Short answer... yes. Now, if you don't have a Medigap or an Advantage plan, you will have to pay 20% coinsurance out of pocket. If you do have a Medigap or an Advantage plan, the service will be covered. Advantage plans will have a copay.

Answer: I would need to know your carrier to give you the most accurate answer. However Medigap typically does not have copays.

Answer: Most plans do. Cost varies based on the plan. I can help you sort through that if you want, and my services are at no cost to you. Contact me.

Answer: Great question... we get paid by the carriers. It is a set amount that the government determines. It is the same amount no matter the carrier, so we really do find the best fit for you.

I would love to help you find the right carrier for you. Contact me.

Answer: That is more of a question for social security then Medicare...but there is some sort of survivors benefits if a spouse dies. I am not sure if it is 100% or a portion of it. I would reccomend contacting SSA.gov

Answer: There is not a family plan per se. The Part B premiums come out of each of your Social Security checks separately. Now, depending on what plan you use, that may be your only monthly premium.

I would love to help you out with this, and our services are free to you. You can contact me. If you would like my help.

Answer: You could go a couple of different directions on this. Medigap/Supplimental insurance covers emergency services out of country, and everything in the US is any doctor, any hospital, any time/any where.... That plan offers the most freedom.

The other option would be an Advantage plan that is a PPO. It would include emergency services outside of network.

I actually can help you with more specific ideas for your specific needs. My services are free of charge. Contact me.

Answer: Hello. I can actually help you with this. I offer a service that is free to Medicare recipients. I need to know a little bit more about your circumstance. Are you on a supplement or advantage plan? What prescriptions are you taking? Even though we are outside of Annual Enrolment, we can still get you moved in most cases. Contact me.
