Q&A with Jason Deyell
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
Answer: You don't have to work with a Medicare Agent, however if you would find it valuable to work with a professional who understands the market, will explain the ins and outs of the alphabet soup that is Medicare, be willing to provide ongoing service and support when needed, and to shop the best plan for your needs each year without you having to pay for that help, then you should work with an agent.
Should I worry about my income effecting my Medicare eligibility?
Answer: Income won't affect your eligibility to go on Medicare as this is health insurance and there is no income limit to enrolling in Medicare. However, that said you may have higher part B premiums and part D premiums based on your taxable income over the standard part B premium for high income earners. This is called Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA).
