Isaac Lind, Medicare Insurance Agent

About Me

Some of my clients have said when they first walk in, that they can't believe how much stress and confusion there is when trying to retire!

I love to help people when they are retiring! The relationships built with my Medicare clients are so fun, and I enjoy my work! People come in confused and leave happy to have all of their health needs taken care of. They love that they can now cross one more item off of their "list!"

I grew up in Holdrege and my parents owned the Dairy Queen there. Even then, I chose to work on the farm for my uncle! I learned a lot of my work ethic from my family growing up!

At our agency, Barney Insurance, we educate and assist clients with Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug, Cancer, Dental/Vision/Hearing, Long Term Care in Nebraska!

Local insurance agency since 1888.

Q&A with Isaac Lind

I'm turning 65 next month; what are the first steps I should take regarding Medicare enrollment?

Answer: Great question!

First, you will want to determine if going onto Medicare is your only option. There are ways that you can "waive" the lifetime penalty for waiting. If that is the case, then you would want to compare the price of your current plan VS. Medicare. Also, you would then compare the coverages.

If you are already drawing Social Security, you will be automatically signed up for Medicare. If you are NOT yet drawing Social Security, we will need to manually apply for Parts A and B. I can help you with this if needed. Please feel free to give me a call for help. Thank you! -Isaac

How do you educate clients who are completely new to Medicare?

Answer: I have a flipbook that is short and to the point, while also being super easy to follow and understand. I explain how Medicare works, and the main two options people can choose between.

The Pro's and Con's are clearly laid out for you, and you make the decision on what makes most sense for your lifestyle! At no point do I charge for my expertise!

I have multiple medications; how can I ensure my Medicare Part D plan covers them all without breaking the bank?

Answer: This is a good question, as prescriptions can be very pricey!

I do this every day, so there are some tips and tricks that I've gained from experience... But to answer your question, after entering all of your prescriptions and what pharmacy you would like to use, the quoter will show all of your options in order of least to most costly for you, for the remainder of the year.

Can you describe a time when you helped a client navigate a complex Medicare issue?

Answer: Most of the time the billing and claims for these plans are not complicated.....until you have a time when things are messed up.

In these circumstances, working with a local agent like me has its advantages. I provide lifetime billing and claims support for all of my clients, at no extra charge to them! This definitely beats calling a 1-800 phone number where you wait on hold or can barely understand the person!

It does not cost a penny to work with me, but you get extra help!
