Answer: Medicare Advantage, is also known as Medicare Part C. This is a plan with a contract with Medicare to provide at least the same coverage as Traditional Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage plans also include extra coverages like Dental, Hearing, Gym memberships, and more.

Answer: If your employer is providing you Major Medicaal coverage (one in which meets the minimum standard of credible coverage), then you have the choice of delaying Medicare to such a time as you need it. I would reccommend signing up for Medicare Part A, as it is usually free.

Answer: Medicare will currently pay for Telehealth sessions for Mental Health. The cost and copay amount depends on what type of Medicare you have (traditional /supplement or Medicare Advantage).

Answer: Medicare will pay for a basic surgery with a certian type of basic lens. If you want a more sophisticared lens system, the cost is not covered by Medicare and would need to be paid out of pocket.

Answer: The wellness visit includes the office visit with a Doctor/provider. This can also include any tests ordered by the office for purpose of checking overall health.

Answer: A person who travels often and needs flexibility in the ability to see new doctors or hospitals in different areas of the country. If this is an issue then Traditional Medicare with a Supplement plan would be best for that situation.

Answer: Make sure the doctors you see accept Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, be sure the providers are all in the network of your plan.
