Q&A with Douglas Tomlinson

Can I show my Original Medicare Card instead of my Medicare Advantage card, if my provider doesn't take my advantage insurance?

Answer: You can show the provider your Medicare Card but they may require you to pay the difference that Medicare doesn't pay. That amount can be higher if you haven't met your deductible for the year. It's best to negotiate with doctor's before scheduling an appointment.
