"About 6 months before my 65th birthday I started receiving in the mail literally dozens of advertisements from people who wanted to help me select a Medicare plan. I also got multiple phone calls, and had people come to my house (which I understand is illegal) to try and meet with me about Medicare. It was overwhelming! I picked out 5 or 6 of the people who sounded the best and then checked their ratings online. I just moved to a new state. Do I need to do anything with my Medicare coverage?
Answer: If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, then yes, because plans differ from state to state. If you have a Medicare Supplement plan, you may be able to keep your current plan (depending on the carrier) and only need to change your required prescription drug plan.
