About Me

David Karel is a Nevada-licensed Medicare insurance agent and founder of Medicare in Las Vegas, serving Medicare-eligible individuals throughout Las Vegas, Summerlin, Sun City Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and communities across Southern Nevada.

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and more than 20 years helping people with Medicare in Nevada, David provides personal, local guidance for people who are turning 65, retiring after age 65, moving to Nevada, or reviewing their existing Medicare coverage.

David helps clients understand and compare Medicare Supplement (Medigap), Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Part D prescription drug plan options. His approach includes looking beyond premiums and benefits to consider the doctors, hospitals, provider networks, prescriptions, travel needs, and other factors that can affect how Medicare coverage works in everyday life.

David has a strong connection to the Summerlin community and serves people throughout Summerlin, Sun City Summerlin, Summerlin South, and the surrounding west and northwest Las Vegas Valley. His knowledge of the local Medicare market includes the health plans, medical groups, hospitals, and provider networks available to people with Medicare in Clark County.

In addition to working with individuals and families, David works with employers and HR departments to help employees understand Medicare when approaching age 65 or retiring after age 65. He has also conducted Medicare educational presentations for public agencies and community organizations in Southern Nevada using Medicare educational materials.

David believes Medicare decisions should begin with education. His goal is to help people understand how Medicare works, identify the choices available to them, and compare coverage based on their individual circumstances.

Through Medicare in Las Vegas, David provides local Medicare guidance throughout the Las Vegas Valley and Nevada.
