Does Medicare cover LASIK eye surgery?
Answer: Unlike cataract surgery, Medicare does not cover Lasik as a prodedure for vision correction. Lasik is considered elective or cosmetic.
What is Guaranteed Issue for Medicare Supplement plans, and when does it apply?
Answer: Guaranteed Issue for supplements applies when first going into Medicare. It will also apply when losing coverage from a cancelled plan.
There is an age 75 provision that allows application at Guaranteed issue when reaching age 75 - this varies by State, but is available in Illinois.
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
