Mr. Boltz was very pleasant and conducted himself in a professional manner. He did not push anything on us that we did not need.

Q&A with Bradley Davis

I signed up for a Medicare Advantage HMO, and I'm wondering if I can see a cardiologist out of network without paying everything myself.

Answer: Are you looking to remain on an advantage plan or go back to traditional Medicare where you would not have a network and can see any prover who accepts Medicare?

Can I use HSA funds to pay Medicare Supplement (Medigap) premiums?

Answer: The simple answer is NO. However the funds can be used to pay for your Part B and D Plans and any copays and deductibles that are not covered.

I've heard Medicare Advantage plans have hidden costs. How do I know what I'm really getting?

Answer: What we have seen is those with Medicare Advantage is that it depends on what's in network, does the treatment or visits need prior authorization. Then if you go into the hospital there are copays that will need to be paid until you hit your deductible for the year. So you could pay nothing if you are relatively healthy but if you use the plan there are cost that you won't know until you use them.

Can I see a doctor in another state with Medicare?

Answer: As long as they accept Medicare the answer is an easy, YES. If you have a Medicare Supplement the answer is yes If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan the answer is usually no with some expceptions.

What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?

Answer: An independent Medicare Supplement agent / broker acts as your personal shopper for Medigap insurance. Because United Integrity Group, Inc. is independent, we are not employees of any single insurance company. Instead, we contract with many different carriers to compare options on your behalf. Specifically, we explain the differences between Plan G, Plan N, and High-Deductible Plan G; pull quotes from every major carrier available in your ZIP code; review each company's rate increase history; match your supplement plan; guide you through open enrollment timing; and stay available for reviews and claim questions after you enroll.
