Q&A with Beth Bohnsack
I want to switch to Medicare Advantage this year. How do I do this?
Answer: You can still switch to a Medicare Advantage Plan in 2025 if you have been impacted by any of the following life events:
1. Leaving employer coverage
2. Moving out of a service area
3. Returning to the USA
4. Becoming eligible for Medicaid/Medicare (Dual eligible)
Otherwise you can enroll in a 2026 Medicare Advantage Plan between 10/15 - 12/7/2025.
What are the 6 things Medicare doesn't cover?
Answer: 1. Long Term Care
2. Personal Care Assistance (non-medical home care)
3. Adult Day Care
4. Cosmetic surgery, prescriptions for hair loss
5. Hearing Aids
6. Routine eye exams and dental cleanings
What's the most important question I should be asking about Medicare that I probably haven't thought of yet?
Answer: What if I need help with everyday activities like dressing, bathing, etc? Who pays for non-medical home care as I get older?
